Shipping policy

SHIPPING RATES AND METHODS

  • Open Door Cigars charges a tiered flat rate shipping rate based on weight of package.

  • Open Door Cigars offers free local pickup; orders may be placed online and specified as local pickup in our store or at curbside, no shipping or handling fees.

GENERAL POLICIES

  • Open Door Cigars does not sell or ship products to anyone under the age of 21.

  • Open Door Cigars does not ship products to South Dakota and Utah.

  • Shipping delivery times are estimates and are not guaranteed unless otherwise noted.

  • Certain items, such as over-sized merchandise, may require additional shipping charges.

  • Any such charges will be noted during the checkout process prior to submitting your order.

SALES TAX

We are required to collect and remit sales tax in most states. Remittance of any taxes on orders shipped without being charged sales tax is the responsibility of the purchaser.

EXCISE TAX

Maryland, Ohio and Pennsylvania impose an excise tax on all tobacco products sold by online retailers to their adult consumers. For more information, please see Maryland House Bill 1301 or Ohio Code 5743.62.

SHIPPING PREFERENCES

1 All items will be delivered via UPS and/or USPS. Delivery addresses must be able to receive packages from either carrier.

2 USPS Priority Mail is not a guaranteed service and can take up to five business days for delivery.

3 Oversized shipments weighing more than 10 lb. may take up to 5 business days for standard delivery.

4 We do not ship to PO Boxes or US Territories.

5 Add 2-3 more days for Alaska and Hawaii deliveries.

Note: Shipping to states where adult signature is required by government regulation may be subject to additional fees.

Delivery times are based on the shipping order cutoff time and are subject to payment approval. All delivery times, except Saturday and Sunday, are based on business days (Monday – Friday) and exclude holidays. Special considerations may incur additional delivery times; see our shipping terms for further details. Please note – certain items would exclude you from selecting some of the methods above, please refer to items that have "shipping constraints" for more details.

SHIPPING ORDER CUTOFF TIME

Please consult the "Estimated Delivery" date in the cart for the most accurate information based on the shipping method you select. All in-stock orders received by 2PM CST, will ship the same day.  PO BOXES, APO/FPO, US TERRITORIES We do not ship to PO Boxes or US Territories. HAZMAT ITEMS (Such As Butane) Due to FAA regulations, expedited services are not available. These items will ship via USPS Parcel Post and may incur additional delivery times.

STATE RESTRICTIONS

We do not ship any tobacco products to South Dakota or Utah. We do not ship Small Cigars (Weighing 3lb. per 1000 or less) to Connecticut, Maine, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Vermont, or Washington. We do not ship filtered cigars to Montana. We do not ship any flavored tobacco products to Massachusetts. We do not ship pipe tobacco to Maine, Maryland or Washington.

AVAILABILITY

Our online inventory is updated regularly. If an item is not immediately available, it will ship the moment it becomes available. We cannot be held responsible for UPS errors, or other delays out of our control. Please note: for urgent and extremely time-sensitive requests, please call or email a representative to ensure availability before submitting your order, as certain items marked "available" can sometimes sell out in the same day.

Orders ship from our warehouse located in Fayetteville, AR.
